Southend have added to their ranks for the forthcoming season with the capture of winger Jemal Johnson.
The 26-year-old, who started his career at Blackburn, left Lokomotiv Sofia this summer and, therefore, was a free agent. Johnson enjoyed his most fruitful spell at MK Dons, for whom he made 96 appearances and scored 12 goals in the process. He will be hoping to replicate that form for the Shrimpers having penned a one-year contract.
