Derby impressed by impact of on-loan striker

Derby County are hoping to finalise a deal to keep West Bromwich Albion striker Luke Moore on loan for the rest of the season. Moore has been at Pride Park since September and has scored three goals in 10 Championship appearances for the Rams. His current deal expires at the end of December, but manager Nigel Clough wants the 24-year-old in his plans for the remainder of the campaign. Rams chief executive Tom Glick said: "I think Nigel Clough has been clear that we are interested in extending the loan. "We would hope that we will soon report that we have done that. "Luke has been terrific for us, he has that extra bit of quality and has scored three great goals." Meanwhile, Clough admits he may allow Dave Martin to go out on loan in January after the winger made just two substitute's appearances so far this season. Clough told the Derby Evening Telegraph: "If he is not in the squad before January -and he cannot get in the 18 at the moment - then he could go out on loan."
