Moore warning to Brogan

Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore insists he will not pick Stephen Brogan until he has proved his fitness.

With the Millers struggling in recent weeks, there have been calls for 22-year-old Brogan to be selected in the left-back role ahead of the out-of-form Tom Newey. But with Brogan failing to reach the heights he achieved before a horrific leg injury in 2008, Moore believes his fitness is still not up to scratch, though concedes he could be in contention for some kind of role in Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Huddersfield. "People keep talking about Brogan but he has missed 42 training sessions and that is a hell of a lot of days to miss out on," Moore said. "And you can't be as fit as everyone else missing that many days. "So he is working hard at getting back to that fitness, he has done really well in the reserves. But he needs to keep working hard at that fitness."
