Foursome poised for Southend trial

Southend United will trial four players against Stevenage reserves on Wednesday evening. The second string clash will see the Shrimpers run the rule over John Grant, Nathaniel Jarvis, Alexandre Tabillon and Walid Bouslimani. Grant is on trial after spending the last four years with rival League Two side Aldershot Town. The 29-year-old striker, who made 127 appearances for the Shots, scoring 47 goals, has also played for Crewe, Hereford and Shrewsbury. Forward Jarvis, 18, arrives at Southend from Cardiff City, where he is yet to make his debut but finished as top goalscorer for their Academy side last season. Tabillon, a 19-year-old French midfielder, has spent time with Championnat de France amateur team Gap. His compatriot Bouslimani, 21, played for French amateur side Nanterre last season.
