Notts County have announced the signings of midfielder John Spicer and forward Ben Burgess.
Spicer has inked a two-year contract with the League One club after leaving Doncaster Rovers.
He told the club's official website: "I said I didn't want to play for a team that was going to be happy sitting in mid-table and I was assured that was certainly not the case.
"We want to get to the Championship as soon as possible, which is what I aim to do."
Burgess, meanwhile, arrives on a free transfer from Blackpool and has also penned a two-year deal.
The attacker, who scored eight goals last season, said: "I'm really excited, I think I've only played here once, which was about 10 years ago.
"It's a great stadium, the pitch looks really good, obviously I'm happy with everything and I just can't wait."
