Wilder delighted to agree deal for Stevenage winger

Oxford United have signed winger Mitchell Cole on a two-year deal from fellow promotion winners Stevenage Borough. Former West Ham United youngster Cole has been a long-term target for Oxford and has now agreed a contract with Chris Wilder's side. The 24-year-old had spent more than three years with Stevenage and Wilder is delighted to have been able to add Cole to his squad for next season. "I'm delighted that Mitchell has agreed to join us," Wilder told the club's official website. "I have watched him on many occasions over the last two or three years and he is a player who possesses great pace and good delivery and I'm sure he is going to be exciting for the Oxford fans to watch. "I know that teams are always wary of playing against him because he can be a major threat. "He has joined us at a great age and after speaking to him I know he sees this as a great opportunity to show what he can do in the Football League."
