Rochdale manager Keith Hill admits he is happy to see his 'risk' in signing Will Atkinson on loan is paying off.
Atkinson is currently enjoying a second month on loan at Spotland from Hull City and has scored three goals to help Dale to seven wins and a draw in his eight appearances for the League Two leaders.
He had previously struggled to make such an impact in loan spells at Port Vale and Mansfield Town, and Hill is delighted with the 21-year-old's form.
Hill said: "We took a bit of a risk bringing him in and it has paid off.
"He'd been out on loan at other clubs and had not been so successful, but he is in fine form here and is enjoying his football."
