Southend United boss Steve Tilson is on the look-out for a new defender after failing to extend the loan of Swindon Town's Sean Morrison.
The youngster has impressed over the past two months for the Shrimpers and the final game of his loan spell is on Saturday against Walsall.
Tilson wanted to keep Morrison at Roots Hall, but will now train his sights elsewhere after the centre-half was recalled by Swindon.
"Sean got better every game his fitness improved," Tilson told the club's official website.
"I can't hide the fact I am disappointed he is going back as I felt we were getting there with the back four.
"But he is Swindon's player and it is their prerogative. I just hope they call him back for the right reasons and he plays because that is what the boy wants.
"After Saturday we are going to be one light. Adam Barrett is our only recognised centre-back so we will see what we can do and get another one in."
