Hereford bolster attacking options

Hereford have signed striker James Walker on a month-long loan deal from Southend. Walker, 22, scored eight goals in 43 appearances for the Shrimpers following his switch from Yeovil in 2008. However, he has fallen down the pecking order at Roots Hall behind favoured strike trio Lee Barnard, Roy O'Donovan and Francis Laurent. Despite his youth, the former Charlton trainee has plenty of experience under his belt having played for Hartlepool, Bristol Rovers, Leyton Orient and Notts County. He joins the Bulls in training this week and is expected to figure in the trip to Rochdale on Saturday.
