Brentford are in talks to sign Charlie MacDonald after a third bid for the Southend United striker was accepted.
MacDonald has been placed on the transfer list at Roots Hall and has already turned down moves to Morecambe and Cambridge United.
He has been pursued by Brentford since the end of last season, with the League Two club having two previous offers rejected.
However, a third bid believed to be in the region of £30,000 has met with Southend's approval and MacDonald will now discuss a move to Griffin Park.
The forward scored five goals in 34 appearances for the Shrimpers last season after joining the club from Ebbsfleet United.
