Long-serving goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan is in no rush to finalise a new contract with Southend United.
Flahavan's current deal expires at the end of next month and advanced talks with the League One club have yet to take place.
The shot-stopper is keen to stay at Roots Hall, but is happy to take his time before agreeing an extension with the Shrimpers.
"It's very early days," Flahavan told the Southend Echo. "I haven't actually had a contract put in front of me, but there is plenty of time.
"I'm going to relax for a while, have a holiday and I'm also getting married at the start of June, so I have plenty to be thinking about.
"After all that I'll be concentrating on the football again and will be focusing on getting ready for pre-season."
