Four leave Town

Cheltenham Town have confirmed the release of four players.

Four out as seven offered fresh terms

Cheltenham have confirmed the release of four players. Defender Michael Wylde, midfielders Sam Foley and Adam Connolly and forward Craig Reid have all departed Whaddon Road. Terms have been offered to the seven other players out-of-contract and young defender Andy Gallinagh has taken little time in signing his. The other six considering the terms are Jerry Gill, Alan Wright; Scott P Brown, Ashley Vincent; Gavin Caines and Craig Armstrong.

Wait

Town manager Keith Downing says he is now waiting to hear back from his players. "All the players who have received offers have gone away to think about them," said Downing. "They have the right to mull them over and I don't know if there will be quick decisions. "Obviously we have had to say goodbye to a few people and that is always a difficult time for everyone. "Obviously I have spoken personally to all the players who will be leaving us but I would also like to thank them publicly for their commitment to Cheltenham Town and to wish them well for the future."
