Posh are likely to face competition from Bristol Rovers for 25-year-old Dudfield's services.
Director of football Barry Fry has confirmed manager Mark Wright is in talks with a number of players, but as yet nothing has been finalised.
"Mark has been speaking to lots of agents," said Fry to the Evening Telegraph.
"Bramble and Dudfield are two of his transfer targets but he hasn't reached an agreement with either player yet."
