League Two round-up

Yeovil Town have extended the lead at the top of League Two to three points.

The Glovers sealed victory at home to bottom-of-the-table Cambridge, but they were made to work hard at Huish Park.

Paul Terry put Yeovil ahead just after half time, only for Shane Tudor to level 13 minutes from time.

Phil Jevons (pictured) was on hand late on to fire home the winner from the spot.

Scunthorpe remain in second, despite going down 2-0 at Notts County.

Goals either side of the interval from Glynn Hurst (30) and Gavin Gordon (57) gave The Magpies victory.

Swansea City moved level with Scunthorpe thanks to a thrilling 3-2 win at Boston United.

Andy Kirk put The Pilgrims ahead, before Swansea went ahead through Lee Trundle (52) and Andy Robinson (62).

Simon Rusk levelled for Boston with 18 minutes left, but Swansea grabbed victory in the final minute with Trundle slotting home from the spot.

Southend stay fourth after they played out a 1-1 draw at Mansfield.

The Stages went ahead through Adam Murray (53), but Mark Gower levelled on the hour mark to give Southend a share of the spoils.

Darlington climbed into fifth with comfortable 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town.

Neil Wainwright (28) and Craig Hignett (67 & 74) fired The Quakers to victory.

Northampton gave way to Darlington as they went down 2-0 at Bury.

Jon Newby (42) and Andrew Keogh (58) grabbed the goals for The Shakers. The Cobblers actually finished the day off with ten-men as Trevor Benjamin was dismissed on the hour.

Lincoln moved into the play-off spots with a 4-2 success at Grimsby.

Simon Yeo bagged a hat-trick (13, 27 & 60) for Lincoln which sandwiched efforts from Thomas Pinault and Stacy Coldicott for the home side.

Ciaran Toner wrapped up the victory late on for The Red Imps.

Macclesfield dropped out of the play-offs after being held 1-1 at Wycombe.

Jon Parkin (36) put Town ahead, but Roger Johnson (55) sealed a draw for Wycombe.

Leyton Orient missed the chance to climb back into play-off contention after slipping to a 2-0 loss at Rushden.

Rob Gier (86) and David Bell (90) grabbed late goals for The Diamonds.

The mid-table battle at The Memorial Stadium saw Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham play out a 1-1 draw.

Steve Gillespie fired The Robins ahead, but Lee Thorpe levelled before the interval.

Cheltenham were forced to end the game with ten-men as Grant McCann was sent off, but they held on for a point.

Oxford continue to climb the table after a 3-1 win at Kidderminster.

Chris Hackett (22) and Craig Davies (38) made it 2-0 at the interval for the visitors.

An own goal from Jon Ashton gave Kidderminster hope, but Steve Basham sealed the win for Oxford in the final minute.

The final game of the day saw Chester and Rochdale play out a goalless draw.

Chester will be happier with the point after finishing the game with nine-men following the dismissals of Paul Carden and Cortez Belle.
