Southend ruined their chances of a rare away win when they conceded a late equaliser at Cheltenham.

The Shrimpers had gone in front on 70 minutes through striker Drewe Broughton and looked good to pick up three priceless points in their battle to avoid the drop.

However, with time running out the visitors shot themselves in the foot when Leon Cort (pictured) put through his own goal to make it 1-1 with three minutes remaining.

A point apiece leaves both sides still looking over their shoulders at the bottom of Division Three although Cheltenham do have a game in hand over most of their rivals.
