Leeds head coach Darko Milanic admitted it could take him until the end of the season before he becomes fully accustomed to his players and life in the Sky Bet Championship.
The former Sturm Graz boss said every coach needs time to settle into a new club, but he learned a lot about his players in his first game in charge on Saturday when Leeds lost 2-0 at Brentford.
"Yes I feel that," Milanic said.
"It will make it a little bit easier. Maybe after 30 games, better, but after every game easier.
"I'm used to that, it's not new. I played a lot of European games, and qualifications. This is normal.
"That is our job. It's my job."
Leeds brought in 15 new recruits in the summer and Milanic is keeping an open mind about the possibility of further additions from the loan market.
"I'm too short a time here," he added. "A big experience for me was Saturday's game.
"It's a much better way to get to know the players. Championship games are a good way to see how we are doing on the pitch.
"I knew that here there is a big tempo. I was not surprised."
