Leeds head coach Dave Hockaday was pleased with his side's showing during the 2-0 pre-season win over Guiseley.

Late goals from Jason Pearce and Matt Smith proved to be the difference for the Sky Bet Championship outfit and Hockaday said he was happy with what he saw on the pitch.

He told the club's official website: "What I wanted to do was dominate possession against a good footballing team and I wanted to keep a clean sheet

"I am happy with that and it is what we do with the ball now that we need to work on.

"The basic culture of the team is going to be different now, we want to keep the ball and we need to get better in the final third."

The Whites played two teams against the Conference North side. The first XI played the first 60 minutes, with the second group playing the last 30 minutes.

Hockaday added: "At the moment we are trying different formations and combinations.

"It is all about fitness but the fact is that we have kept a clean sheet, we've won the game and we dominated possession, they are three great things.

"In the final third we need to have better quality. If that was the case we could have run out very comfortable winners."
