Red Bull have confirmed to Sky Sports that they have no intention of investing in English football.
The Austrian energy drink giant has become immersed in the sporting world in recent years, funding and owning teams across the spectrum with football and F1 their most famed ventures thus far.
In footballing terms they currently have three teams under the umbrella of their organisation in the shape of New York Red Bulls, and European sides Red Bull Salzburg and Red Bull Leipzig.
Red Bull have long insisted that the British market was not of interest to them, but recent reports have claimed they were taking a close look at the Premier League and Championship for possible investment.
Everton, Crystal Palace and Leeds United have all been suggested as possible opportunities being looked at by Red Bull and their sporting director Ralf Rangnick, who looks after both Salzburg and Leipzig.
However, speaking to Sky Sports, Red Bull distanced themselves from these reports and confirmed that they were not looking at English football in anyway.
“Red Bull will not make any investments in English football clubs,” Red Bull assistant sporting director Lisa Hohensinn confirmed.
“These were just rumours in the newspapers.”
