Defender heading to Turkey

Leicester City have confirmed that Sol Bamba has been offloaded to Turkish outfit Trabzonspor for an undisclosed fee. The defender has agreed personal terms with his new employers and will be taking on a new challenge in 2012/13. Reports in Turkey suggest £750,000 has changed hands in the deal and Bamba moves on after 17 months at the King Power Stadium. He joined Leicester from Hibernian in January 2011 and made 55 appearances during his time with the Foxes, scoring four goals. The France-born Ivory Coast international had been drafted in to aid the Championship club with their efforts to secure promotion to the Premier League. He has, however, been allowed to move on, with Nigel Pearson prepared to use different defensive options next term.
