Leeds manager Neil Warnock says he is a 'big fan' of Argentinian striker Luciano Becchio despite his struggle for form this season.
Becchio, 28, who signed from Spanish club Merida for an undisclosed fee in August 2008, has looked short of his best form for large parts of this term following surgery to repair a damaged hamstring last summer.
But Warnock believes the frontman has much more to offer.
"I'm a big fan of Becchio," said Warnock. "I think he can be a lot better player than what I've seen and that's what I'll be working on in pre-season.
"That's why I decided to put Billy Paynter on the transfer-list, because I feel if I do bring another striker in, he needs to be slightly different to what those two are.
"We're looking at pace in different areas and power as well. It's just trying to get the right recipe on the ins and outs."
