White looks to the future

The Championship play-off contenders last week decided to part company with their ex-boss and Neil Redfearn has since been placed in temporary charge.

Leeds on Saturday picked up a 3-0 win under their caretaker boss at Bristol City and White has been impressed with what he has seen from Redfearn.

The likes of Neil Warnock, Karl Robinson and Billy Davies have all been linked with the permanent job at Elland Road.

And Republic of Ireland Under 21 international White knows it is time to stop dwelling on the departure of Grayson.

"Obviously the last manager going was a decision made by the football club," White told Leeds' official website.

"I enjoyed playing under him, but as soon as it happens...it's unfortunate...but we've got to work well under Redders (Redfearn).

"He's a good manager, he's experienced, I enjoyed playing under him for the Under 18s. So I know what he can do and what a good manager he is. We've just got to concentrate on that.

"The past is the past and we've got to move on. It must have been a difficult decision, because of what we did here, but we have to move on.

"Whatever the club decides to do is what we'll do."

Dave Jones and Alan Curbishley have also been linked with Leeds, but White is also not paying too much attention to the rumour mill.

"You hear a lot of rumours and names," said White. "One day it's this person, the next it's another. Whoever does get the job we will enjoy working with them.

"We're round about the play-offs. We're not far away at all and that's what we want.

"Automatic would be fantastic, but the play-offs are there at the moment, we're close, and it's anybody's."
