MK Dons chief a contender to succeed Grayson

Sky Sports understands MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is a contender for the vacant managerial post at Leeds. Leeds are searching for a new boss after Simon Grayson was sacked as manager on Wednesday, 24 hours after the 4-1 home defeat to Birmingham. A number of names, including former QPR boss Neil Warnock and Huddersfield's Lee Clark have been linked with the job, but Robinson is thought to figure highly on Leeds' shortlist. Robinson is regarded as one of the brightest young managers around after taking over as MK Dons boss at the age of 29, making him the youngest manager in the Football League in the process. The 31-year-old started coaching at Liverpool's academy before working as a coach at Blackburn under Paul Ince, who he followed to MK Dons. In his first full season in charge he guided MK Dons to the play-offs where they lost to Peterborough and they currently sit fifth in League One after an impressive campaign. MK Dons would be loath to lose Robinson, but the Liverpool-born manager is believed to have his admirers within the corridors of power at Elland Road.
