Neil Warnock feels the presence of 'matchwinner' Adel Taarabt will provide a significant boost to QPR's Premier League campaign this season.
Rangers majority shareholders Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore confirmed last week that the Moroccan playmaker will not be leaving Loftus Road this summer.
The 22-year-old was instrumental to QPR's Championship title charge last season, but had been linked with a big-money move away from the London club to Paris St Germain.
Impact
Warnock is in no doubt of the impact Taarabt - who made a couple of Premier League appearances while at Tottenham - can have on the top flight.
"We're all delighted that he's staying," Warnock told QPR's
official website.
"You've got to have matchwinners in the Premier League and he's just that.
"It's a fantastic achievement by the club to keep him on board.
"It gives everybody a big lift, because he's got such a lot to offer us next season."
QPR goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has been impressed with the signings Warnock has made so far this summer, with defender Danny Gabbidon joining the club earlier this week on a free transfer from West Ham, adding to the arrivals of Jay Bothroyd and Kieron Dyer.
Kenny said: "The gaffer has brought in some fine players.
"They're good quality signings and they've got decent experience, so it should stand us in good stead.
"Hopefully they'll add a bit more quality to the squad and if the gaffer can bring in one or two more, we'll be in great shape."
Focused
Former Sheffield United keeper Kenny has been linked with a move away from Loftus Road this summer, with West Brom and fellow Premier League new-boys Swansea thought to be chasing his signature, but the shot-stopper says he is focused on Rangers' impending campaign.
"Obviously it's a massive season for the club," he said.
"This is the league everyone wants to play in and like everybody else, I'm just looking forward to the season starting."
