Damien Delaney is confident Ipswich Town could cope with the loss of David Norris and Gareth McAuley at the end of the season.
Norris and McAuley are out of contract in the summer and have been tipped to join Portsmouth and Rangers respectively.
However, Delaney believes that manager Paul Jewell will be able to compensate for the duo if McAuley and Norris decide to quit Portman Road.
"Gareth is like Chuck (Norris) as he would like to stay, and I would like him to stay; of course I would," said Delaney, who recently signed a new two-year contract.
"But if not it will not be the end of the world for Ipswich Town. The gaffer will get someone else in and the club will still be here.
"The manager knows the scene and he knows what it takes to do well at this level.
"Gareth is old enough to make up his own mind. If he wants to stay he'll stay and if he wants to go he'll go. I have not had a chat with him for a few days, but he's his own person and will do what's right for him."
