Keeper believes QPR stronger than promoted Blades squad

QPR goalkeeper Paddy Kenny believes the Hoops have a stronger squad than the one in which he was promoted with at Sheffield United. Kenny was part of the Blades squad which achieved promotion from the Championship in 2006 under Neil Warnock, who is now QPR boss. And the experienced keeper believes Warnock has assembled an even stronger squad at Loftus Road as he seeks to guide the Championship table-toppers to the Premier League. Goalkeeper Kenny, who left Bramall Lane to join Rangers in the summer, said: "It's definitely a squad to be reckoned with. "It's a stronger group than the one I won promotion with at Sheffield United. "That's not being disrespectful to those lads in that squad, it's just an honest assessment. "The talent we have got, combined with the experience and determination, should bode well for us over the course of the season."

Buzsaky boost

Meanwhile, QPR have received a boost with the news that midfielder Akos Buzsaky has escaped serious injury after limping out of Saturday's clash with Norwich. The Hungary international - who missed the majority of the 2008/9 season after suffering a cruciate injury - hurt his knee during the first half of the goalless draw at Loftus Road. But the scans he underwent on Monday have shown he has not suffered a serious injury and he should return soon. Physio Nigel Cox told the club's official website: "Akos has twisted his knee which has caused inflammation. "We hope it will settle down quite quickly. There has been no serious damage to the knee and we don't anticipate him being unavailable for too long."
