Parkinson would welcome striker stay

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson would like to sign on-loan striker Tresor Kandol on a permanent basis. The 27-year-old joined the Addicks from Leeds in January and has impressed during his time at The Valley. He has been unable to prevent the club from slipping towards League One, but has caught the eye with a number of workmanlike displays. That has been enough to persuade Parkinson that the much-travelled frontman is the ideal candidate to spearhead Charlton's promotion push next term. "I'd love to sign him permanently," he told the club's official website. "He's been excellent and I think he'll get better as well. "Despite his age, he hasn't had a lot of League football and I think he's got a lot of attributes."
