Leeds United's on-loan keeper Casper Ankergren would love to seal a permanent move to Elland Road.

The Danish shot-stopper is currently with the Championship strugglers from Brondby for the rest of the season.

Ankergren is fast becoming a fans' favourite and now the 27-year-old has admitted he wants to stay with Leeds.

"Of course I would like to stay here. This is a major club for me," he told the club's official website.

"I always had a dream about going abroad and I fancied England. I like it here.

"There were 30,000 at the game on Tuesday and I liked it. They have a fantastic passion for football here.

"You can't expect things like this to happen. I hoped something would come and it did."

Dennis Wise is pleased with on-loan duo Ankergren and Graham Stack and wants to keep pair at Leeds.

"Both Casper and Stacky have done great - it's good competition and this is what I was looking for," he added.

"I'm not frightened of either of them going in and I'd like to keep them both. They're on loan, but I'd like to keep them."
