Luton Town have told Leeds United to up their bid for Dean Morgan if they want to secure his services.
The Whites have reportedly tabled an offer for the 23-year-old, although it falls short of The Hatters' valuation.
Luton boss Mike Newell has hinted he is willing to do business, however, their £500,000 price tag could be out of Leeds' price range.
"If a club meets your valuation of a player then I've always maintained that I would never stand in the way of a player," Newell told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"There comes a time when you have to say 'yes, that's a sensible offer'. I'm not saying there's no interest in him.
"There's been interest in a number of our players, but nobody has come anywhere near our valuation."
