Leeds United are sweating over the fitness of striker Rob Hulse after he suffered a recurrence of a previous ankle injury.
The former Crewe Alexandra and West Bromwich Albion hit-man sustained ankle ligament damage in training on Monday.
It is feared that the 25-year-old has aggravated the same problem he initially suffered during the club's pre-season tour of Norway back in July.
Hulse missed the start of the current campaign before returning to become Leeds' top goalscorer with six goals to this stage.
He is already a doubt for Saturday's trip to Burnley with the ankle problem, and with Richard Cresswell a long-term casualty with a knee injury, Whites boss Kevin Blackwell will hope Hulse's absence is not a long one.
Blackwell only has David Healy, Robbie Blake and Ian Moore fit in their striking department, while Michael Ricketts could be recalled from his loan at Championship rivals Cardiff City.
