Leeds United are sweating over the fitness of David Healy after the striker picked up an ankle injury.

The Northern Ireland international will have a scan on Monday to assess the extent of ligament damage he suffered in Saturday's 2-1 win at Watford.

The 25-year-old lasted less than half an hour after sustaining the injury at Vicarage Road and there are fears his season may be at an end with the problem.

Should scans confirm he has suffered damage, the former Manchester United and Preston North End hit-man could be out for up to six weeks.

The news is sure to be a blow to Whites boss Kevin Blackwell, as Leeds look to finish a most transitional Championship season on a positive note.
