Jody Morris's late penalty earned Millwall a 1-1 draw against Leeds.Jody Morris' late penalty earned Millwall a share of the points against Leeds on a bitterly cold Sunday at Elland Road.
The Lions midfielder stunned the crowd with an equaliser just four minutes from time, to cancel out John Oster's first goal for the club.
It had looked like Oster was going to end a terrible week on a high when he put a police caution and a hefty club fine behind him to thrash home a close range shot through a crowd of players two minutes before the break.
The first half had been anything but filled with quality, although Leeds did create the lion's share of the chances and finally got the breakthrough.
Brian Deane had planted an early header just wide, but Paul Ifill should have done better after being picked out by Scott Dobie.
Ifill then contrived to miss an even easier opportunity when Neil Sullivan spilled a Barry Hayles shot, but the Millwall man poked his effort wide.
The breakthrough came when David Healy's pass picked out Oster, who dragged the ball back across his marker and hammered home off a crowd of players to leave Andy Marshall with no chance.
Leeds could have extended their lead through Healy, but his effort was narrowly wide, but with the crowd beginning to believe that the hosts would hold on to the points, Oster was adjudged to have hauled down Ifill.
Former Leeds man Morris was the man who stepped up to take the high-pressure penalty, and he made no mistake to earn his team a 1-1 draw.
