Caldwell looking for improvement

Steve Caldwell has admitted Leeds United must tighten things up at the back if they are to avoid the drop.

Leeds secured a much-needed 3-2 win over Leicester on Monday, but sloppy defending from the Elland Road outfit allowed The Foxes to draw level.

The White have conceded an average of two goals per game this term, 62 in 31 games, and Caldwell knows this trend needs to be bucked if they are to climb out of the drop zone.

"There were a few things wrong with our defending and we have to work on that," said the Newcastle loanee.

"We have the quality to get out of this position but we showed our frailties against Leicester.

"We were under pressure late on and defended deeper.

"We know we have to tighten up because if we continue to play like that we will concede goals."
