Bravo adapting to Premiership pace

RAUL BRAVO has admitted that he will return to Real Madrid a changed player after adapting to the physical nature of the English game.

The Spanish international defender is six weeks into his loan spell at Elland Road, and claims by comparison to English football he now finds the Spanish game somewhat 'bland'.

"In The Premiership the play is very hard," said the 21-year-old.

"I have been watching games in Spain on television and it surprises me what some referees blow for.

"There is a lot of difference between that championship and this one. The Spanish championship is bland. In England the referees allow a lot more.

"The difference between Madrid and Leeds is that in England the ball goes straight from the centre back to the centre forward and the rest of the players have to be ready for the second play.

"They play a lot less football here (in England) but my aim is to get minutes under my belt.

"When I return from Leeds I will be more experienced.

"In the month and a half that I have been here I have played in all the games and things have gone very well for me.

"The only bad thing is that Leeds aren't doing very well in the league."

The youngster confessed to missing some of the comforts of home, but insists he has no regrets over his switch to England.

"What I miss most is my family and Spanish food. But overall I don't feel nostalgic here in Leeds."
