Steve Round believes there is now a five-way battle for Premier League survival.

Only four points separate Burnley, Hull, Leicester, Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers in the table as they enter the final weeks of the campaign.

Hull's 2-0 defeat to Southampton on Saturday leaves them two points above the bottom three with games against Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Arsenal, Burnley, Tottenham and Manchester United to come.

Steve Bruce's side have won just one of their last seven league matches and that could be decisive in the relegation battle, according to Round.

Hull need to stop the rot and get results at home or they could be in trouble.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ's Morning Viewthe former Manchester United and Everton assistant manager said: "Steve Bruce is a manager with great experience and knows what is needed to keep his team in the league.

"But they're in it (the relegation battle), and he'll know that, they've got to start producing and get the results that he needs.

"The Palace game is really big for them, then they have four home games where he needs to get some results and the other teams will perhaps run out of games.

'Momentum'

"Hull need to stop the rot and get results at home or they could be in trouble."

Above Hull, but also struggling for form are Dick Advocaat's Sunderland. Their only league win in nine matches came against Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear derby, and Round believes they could struggle to stay up.

"Sunderland have got a lot to do, they need to regain momentum very quickly," Round added. "It's very difficult for a new manager to come in with no context of this league and understand his own team."

Bottom-side Leicester are three points from safety, but after consecutive wins over West Ham and West Brom, Round believes they can overtake Burnley and QPR to reach safety.

"Leicester have been competitive all season, nobody has run riot over them," said Round. "I think they're getting the breaks, they're getting the rub of the green and they're scoring goals which is the most important thing.

"They've always had spirit and always had drive. Now they've not got a run of fixtures with games against sides around them. It's in their hands, if they win their game in hand, they've got a chance.

"QPR may just run out of games, they've played a couple more than the teams around them so it's going to be tough for them."
