Dean Marney has penned a contract extension at Hull which will keep him at the club until 2012.
The midfielder insists the agreement was never in doubt as he had no desire to leave the KC Stadium.
He joined the Tigers from Tottenham in the summer of 2006 and has enjoyed considerable success during his two years at the club, including winning promotion to the Premier League at the end of the 2007/08 campaign.
"My initial deal was due to be up next summer, so it's nice to get things sorted out and now I can just concentrate on trying to stay in the team," he told the club's official website.
"There was never nay doubt that I wanted to stay. We're a Premier League club and I would be mad to think about leaving.
"I'm settled here now and I'm enjoying my football."
