Premier League new boys Hull City were held to a 1-1 draw by Belgian side KV Oostende, with summer signing Geovanni getting his name on the scoresheet.
Hull started the game brightly, former Manchester City midfielder Geovanni going close with an early chance which was saved by Sven Van Ryckeghem, before the Brazilian managed to find the net with a fine strike after 14 minutes.
The goalscorer continued to impress, setting up fellow summer recruit Caleb Folan for an opportunity to double the side's lead, only for the former wigan Athletic striker to fire wide.
The KC Stadium outfit were made to pay for their missed chances, Thor Laleman beating the offside trap and slotting beyond Sebastien Cejas to level the scores.
There were to be no further goals as the tempo of the game dropped, but there would have been few complaints at the scoreline from Hull manager Phil Brown at this stage of pre-season.
