Hull City have been boosted by the agreement of contract extensions for seven of their players.
Former Republic of Ireland Under-21 defender Damien Delaney (pictured) played in all 46 Championship games last season, and has signed up until June 2009.
Fellow defender Leon Cort, 26, has also agreed to extend his stay at the KC Stadium for another three seasons.
While Andrew Dawson, former Premiership midfielder Nick Barmby, Stuart Elliott and striker Stephen McPhee have all agreed deals until June 2008.
Twenty-five-year-old defender Alton Thelwell will also remain a Tiger for next season's assault on The Championship.
The news will come as a welcome boost to City after boss Peter Taylor moved to become the new Crystal Palace manager.
Hull chairman Adam Pearson is expected to target Colchester United's Phil Parkinson, as Taylor's replacement.
