Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws has told Hull that his offer for winger Kevin Ellison will not remain on the table forever.
The 27-year-old has struggled to establish himself in the Hull first team since moving to The KC Stadium, and may be deemed surplus to requirements next team.
The Tigers may have been expected to bite the hand off a club offering £100,000 for Ellison, but have so far ignored Scunthorpe's interest.
Laws insisted that he would not increase his bid, but instead look elsewhere.
"The bid has been on since the first week of May, we are in June and I'm not prepared to wait much longer," he warned.
"If I don't get an answer in the next few days I will move on.
"It would be a six-figure fee, so that would be a big figure for this football club but I've already lined something else up if it doesn't happen."
