Blackpool and Hull City have both made moves for Notts County goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall.
The 26-year-old has one year left on his current deal at Meadow Lane, but The Magpies cannot guarantee his long-term future.
Because of this Mildenhall could now be set to move on.
"If I could sign a two-year contract with Notts County, I would stay without hesitation," Mildenhall explained.
"But the club are not able to guarantee me an extension.
"I was prepared to take a significant pay cut as long as they offered me an extra year.
"I am in a position where two clubs are talking about offering two-year contracts and I have to listen to that."
