Johnson satisfied with point

Lee Johnson was happy with Barnsley's 0-0 draw at Leyton Orient despite the result ending his side's impressive six-match winning run.

That sequence had lifted the Tykes into the play-off positions but this latest point owed much to the performance of their goalkeeper Adam Davies who produced a series of fine saves to frustrate the hosts. The only sour note for the visitors came in the closing stages when substitute Milan Lalkovic was red carded for a two-footed lunge on Orient skipper Nathan Clarke, leaving the visitors to contest the four added minutes with 10 men. Johnson said: "I'm pleased with the result, I know you probably shouldn't be pleased with a point but we knew it would be a tough game and I knew that after a tough game on Saturday, to come here would be emotionally draining. "I changed the shape. Did it work? Probably not in my opinion so I have to take that on the chin. But I changed it back pretty quickly and the minute we went back to the 4-3-3, I thought we were good. "I thought we kept the ball moving much better, there was natural angles and the midfield three started to get involved all of a sudden. From thereon, we were okay. "We made a couple of opportunities but we didn't quite have the end product. I haven't seen the sending-off yet but I'm told it shouldn't have been so we'll have a look at that. "But with the 0-0 result, in the big scheme of things, I'm satisfied." Johnson, who has yet to see his team lose since he took charge in February, paid tribute to the performance of his keeper Davies. "Our keeper has dug us out on a couple of occasions, there is no doubt about that although that's what he's there to do," he said. "He's saved us a couple of points already in this run and he probably saved us a couple of points today." Leyton Orient boss Fabio Liverani was frustrated his side had not been able to capitalise on the number of chances they created. "I am very happy with the way that we played but it is frustrating that we didn't score," he said. "The match was good but the only thing that was not good from our point of view was the score. We created a number of chances but I am disappointed that we were not clinical enough in front of goal. "The Barnsley goalkeeper played well but having said that, we should have scored, we made some good chances but failed to take them. "The team tonight and in the last game were professional, they all worked hard for each other. It is a tough relegation battle with a number of teams involved so that means all games are important. But I trust in my team and we are go with confidence to Crawley on Saturday. "We may have to make changes in the team. We will see how they recover but with three games in eight games, it is likely some changes will be needed."
