Barnsley have bolstered their goalkeeping department with the signing of free agent Iain Turner.
The former Everton shot-stopper, who spent nine years at Goodison Park, has penned a short-term deal at Oakwell following a successful two-week trial.
The 30-year-old told the Tykes' official website: "I've been out injured for the last couple of seasons, only recently I've got myself back fit.
"Luke's (Steele) number one for a reason, he's a very, very good keeper.
"Every team needs a few keepers - to push each other, bit of banter, and I'm here to push Luke on.
"Hopefully, if I get a chance, I'll show what I can do as well."
