On-loan Barnsley striker Marcus Tudgay broke his collarbone in Saturday's home defeat to Blackburn and has returned to parent club Nottingham Forest.

Striker Tudgay, 29, who scored three goals in 11 appearances for the Tykes following his arrival on loan in early November, sustained the injury in a second-half collision with Blackburn goalkeeper Jake Kean and left the field on a stretcher.

The former Sheffield Wednesday forward was due to return to the City Ground on Thursday.
