Boro maintain unbeaten record to go top as Brighton lose

Middlesbrough moved top of the Championship after a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace as Brighton lost their unbeaten record as they lost at Leicester. With Southampton not playing until Sunday, Boro now find themselves on top of the pile as Marvin Emnes won it for them with a volley midway through the second-half. Brighton lost for the first time this season at Leicester City with Yuki Abe scoring just after the break. Derby and West Ham then follow, with both teams playing derbies earlier in the day. The Rams saw off Nottingham Forest in their East Midlands clash with youngster Jeff Hendrick scoring late on. Sam Allardyce's Hammers played out a goalless draw with Millwall at the New Den. There is still nothing separating Cardiff in sixth and Blackpool directly beneath them as they drew 1-1 at Bloomfield Road. Leeds United moved into the top half of the table as Ross McCormack's late goal gave them a 2-1 win over Bristol City at Elland Road. Burnley's poor form continued at London Road as they lost 2-1 to Peterborough United with Emile Sinclair grabbing a brace for the Posh. Reading climbed off the bottom and sent Doncaster to the foot of the table as they beat Rovers 2-0 at the Madejski Stadium. Robert Koren's first-half goal gave Hull City a 1-0 win over Portsmouth at the KC Stadium. Finally, Barnsley came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw with Watford at Oakwell.
