Leyton Orient skipper Stephen Dawson has been named the club's Player of the Year for the 2010/2011 season.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who arrived at Brisbane Road from Bury last summer, played in 40 league matches as the O's secured their highest finish in 18 years when they came seventh. Dawson also helped guide the east Londoners to the last 16 of the FA Cup, where they memorably held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw. Winger Dean Cox was named players' player of the year and defender Elliot Omozusi landed the young player award.
