Defender facing up to three weeks out

Bristol City defender Nicky Hunt faces three weeks on the sidelines after damaging ankle ligaments in Saturday's friendly with Blackpool. The former Bolton right-back, 26, sustained the problem in the 2-0 win over the Premier League newcomers at the weekend and will now miss the start of the Championship campaign, which yields high hopes for the Robins. "It's likely he will be out for between two and three weeks," City's physio Nick Dawes told the club's official website. "It is disappointing for him and the club." And City's injury woes could worsen as they await results of scans on Lewin Nyatanaga's knee injury, which he suffered in the same game. Hunt and Nyatanga will join Nicky Maynard, Danny Haynes, Kalifa Cisse and James Wilson in the treatment room, with none of that quartet expected to be fit to face Millwall on Saturday.
