Rob Atkinson has expressed his delight after signing a permanent contract with Grimsby.
The 21-year-old defender initially joined the Mariners on loan from Barnsley in October 2007.
He returned to Oakwell at the end of the 2007/8 campaign but Grimsby signed him on loan again in October.
He has now penned a two-and-a-half year deal and is looking forward to his future at Blundell Park.
"It's all sorted now and I'm delighted to be a fully-fledged Grimsby Town player," he told the Grimsby Telegraph:
"I've enjoyed both of my loan spells here and can't wait to stay for longer now it's all been agreed.
"I'm looking forward to some good times here and am sure it will happen under (manager) Mike Newell."
