Striker had painkilling injections during the match against WBA

Barnsley's Istvan Ferenczi has revealed that he had painkilling injections during Saturday's 2-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion. The striker, who agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Oakwell in January, managed 50 minutes before being forced off through injury. Ferenczi explained that he has now flown back to his homeland in order to work on getting himself back to peak condition, for when the Championship season resumes after the international break. "I had a strain, but I played because my trainer asked me to do so. I was on the pitch three times with an injection in my leg," Ferenczi told www.nb1.hu. "I got the last (injection) from the team doctor of West Brom. "But now - due to the European Championship qualifiers - we have a short break and I flew back to Hungary for medical rehabilitation in order to go back to England a healthy player."
