Nigel Pearson is hoping to further bolster his ranks at Leicester City and says he has no intention of letting anyone leave.

Four fresh faces have been welcomed to the King Power Stadium this summer, including big-money striker Leonardo Ulloa.

Watford frontman Troy Deeney is reported to be another top target, with efforts to land Cardiff City’s Fraizer Campbell set to be dropped as Crystal Palace close on his signature.

It is always about whether you can improve the group you have and, if the right players come along, then I am not discounting doing more business.

Pearson admits that he is scouring the market for more quality additions, but has also declared himself ‘delighted’ with the squad he has been able to assemble so far.

Ahead of a return to the Premier League in 2014/15, he told the Leicester Mercury: “It depends on circumstances.

“It is always about whether you can improve the group you have and, if the right players come along, then I am not discounting doing more business.

“We want to get ourselves right for the season and I think the club has worked exceptionally hard to add the right types of players.

“You also have to remember this is our first year back in the Premier League for a decade. We have to make sure the business we do is correct for us at this time.

“Some of the key signings have been the players who have re-signed for us having run out of contract last year.

“I am delighted with the group I have got so far.”

While looking to add, Pearson has also sought to play down reports suggesting sales could soon be sanctioned, with Andy King and Chris Wood among those said to be attracting interest from afar.

He added: “I don’t want any of our players to leave. We haven’t got a big squad.

“I am pleased with what we have done but I will see what happens.”
