Veteran striker Kevin Phillips is set to join Leicester following his release by Crystal Palace.
Phillips joined Palace on loan from Blackpool in January last year, and scored six goals to help the Eagles into the Premier League.
He signed permanently last summer, but made just four appearances off the bench in the Premier League, failing to score.
Leicester boss Nigel Pearson wants some experience in his front line and Phillips, 40, fits the bill.
He could make his debut this weekend in the Championship match with Leeds, which is being shown live on Sky Sports.
