Fleetwood Town have confirmed that a bid from Championship side Blackpool for in-demand striker Jamie Vardy has been knocked back.
The Seasiders saw off their non-league neighbours in the FA Cup third round on Saturday, but they have remained in contact with the Blue Square Premier side.
Within hours of their club clash finishing, Blackpool had lodged a bid for Vardy.
It is believed that the offer was in the region of £750,000, but that figure falls short of Fleetwood's valuation.
As a result, they have snubbed Blackpool's advances and have warned any other interested parties that they will not let their 18-goal leading marksman leave for less than they feel he is worth.
Town chairman Andy Pilley told the
Blackpool Gazette: "I did receive a text from Blackpool on Saturday night, which was a long way short of our valuation of the player.

"A lot of clubs have made contact and there has been lots and lots of interest in Jamie. Blackpool's is not the first bid and is not the best we've had.
"The size of the fee is for the clubs to negotiate but we value Jamie highly.
"Until we receive an offer which is attractive to us, Jamie will remain a Fleetwood player."
It has been suggested that any deal for Vardy will see him loaned back to Fleetwood for the remainder of the season, and Pilley admits such an arrangement has been discussed.
He added: "That has been part of the negotiations and would be attractive to us."
